Ovo-Lacto-Vegetarian also called Vegetarian

Ovo-Vegetarian

  • vegetable products

Lacto-Vegetarian

consumption of:

  • vegetable products
  • dairy products (most vegetarian substitute milk from cows or other animals by soy milk)



Veganism

consumption of:

  • vegetable products only
  • The use of leather, fur, horn, animal hair brushes and similar products is excluded



Semi-Vegetarian

A semi-vegetarian is not a true vegetarian. Diet includes:

  • Lots of plant based foods
  • but also meat from time to time

There are people whose diet excludes meat but not fish or who accept the occasional consumption of meat and so on...

  • Flexitarian: will eat meat from time to time
  • Pesco-lacto-ovo-vegetarianism: consume fish, daiy products and eggs
  • Pesco-vegetarian or Pescetarian: consume fish
  • Pollo-vegetarian: consume poultry
  • Fruitarian: consume raw fruits and seeds only
